our peeps...

so...i was doing some thinking and i realized that i hadn't given our home team any face time on the old blog. well, here we are! now, i should start by saying that i attempted to get a decent picture of all the people in our immediate home team...and what we now refer to as our extended home team. (a couple months back our home team split to from two home teams; joyous occasion...bittersweet though) alas...i could not find pictures of everyone...so i did the best with what i had. i would also like to take the time to apologize to anyone i left out...albeit unintentionally...and to anyone who may feel i put one of your less attractive pictures all over the web. and go...

with all that being said...i have much more to say! we joined our original home team at palm valley church in january...the year of our lord, 2006...thus, we have been apart of this awesome group for a little over a year. we have been so tremendously blessed by the friendships in this group! i can honestly say that we have met some of our best friends in just the past year! what an awesome privilege to be able to hang out with such amazing men and women of god!

as a home team, we share the vision of our awesome church...if you need a home team...give us a call...we'll never be full! even if that means we have to "mutate" (thank you, michael) over and over again...we are willing to do it to get people involved in this blessing...besides, that just means we'll have even more people to hang out with!

i've never been apart of a team that is as devoted to christ's mission than the one we are a part of now...and i thank each person in our home team for sharing your lives with us and allowing us to share ours with you!

why is this team so important? well, i'll need to quote one of my team members to give a sufficient response..."let's be real, once the storms of life come, and the rains fall, only those built on the rock will be around after the storm to see the next day...and we will be standing together to ensure that none of our christian brothers will fall."

bottom line...we're not in this thing alone...not only do we have the reassurance to know that the almighty god is with us stride for stride...but, he gave us a team, a home team, to enjoy the ride with along the way. thanks guys...for all you've done! we are eternally grateful!
