well, our intentions were to have jess induced on tuesday...mason wanted to get here on monday! so, jess and i became the proud parents of a 8 lb. 6 oz. baby boy! he was 20 3/4 inches long and perfect from head to toe...not that i'm biased or anything! quick story...we woke up sunday morning preparing to go to church, palm valley, when we...being new to this whole pregnancy thing...thought jess's water broke. we drove to hospital only to be told it wasn't her water, she wasn't dialated at all...go home. so, jess and i got home from the hospital aroung noon and went to a wondeful mother's day lunch with both our moms...which was great! during lunch, jess told me she was feeling some slight pain in her lower abdomen, which we assumed were contractions...turned out they were and we went back to the hospital around 11:30 pm. not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised when they told us she was 5 cm dialated! she was very relieved because by that point she was in an awful lot of pain. anyway, she got an epidural...eased the pain...and she gave birth to the little guy at 9:28 am. everything went incredibly well...doctors, nurses, visitors...everything was a blessing and we couldn't be more thankful!
now, to brag on my wife just a little bit! jess is too amazing for words...but i'm going to make an attempt. she handled this entire situation better than i could have ever imagined! it's hard for me to describe all of the feelings we went through that day, but i will say that i fell in love with my wife all over again! she has been the most amazing mother to mason already, and is a trooper in every aspect of her new role. and the thing that amazes me the most is she does it all without complaining, but with a proud smile on her face! every time i see her look at mason i can see how she has fallen in love with him already, which melts my heart. she is more beautiful to me today than ever before! i love you, baby!

oh Jess and Brent!! the tears are flowing! brent, your randition of what went down just made me so proud of you guys! i wish soo badly i could just drive over and visit your new family!!! i bet your loving it! your both amzing and i love you! mason is just sooo gorgeous! can't wait to meet him and to see you as parents! love you and miss you loads!
Jess and Brent..he's so precious! I agree with Rene, Brnet your randition of the story was awesome and I love being able to hear a guy talk like that about his wife. I love you both and i'm so excited for you. I know you both will be amazing parents. I can't wait for August so I can meet him!Praying for the 3 of you:)
Woohoo!!! Way to go guys! Natalie and I are so proud to call you friends and are excited to talk about all the crazy stuff our kids do while growing up. Mason, Gage sends a hi-five, a chest bump, and a direct quote of "Welcome to the big show, kid." Love you guys.
