Mother's Day 2013

Is Mother's day not the sweetest day ever as a mommy? Motherhood truly is the most rewarding (and can be the most difficult) job. I once read a quote that said, "The most important work a mother could ever do is within the walls of her own home." Being a mom has changed my life for the better in abundance. I feel so lucky to not only have four precious children, but that I get to be in this journey together...with my dear husband and with support of sisters, family, and friends. I've also been told once before, "God didn't call us to be good mom's. He calls us to love him fully." My prayer is that as I focus my life first on Christ, that my husband and children will then receive exactly what it is they need from me as a wife and mommy to grow up loving their Lord as well.

Precious Grant...you are the most laid back baby, ever. That may just come with being the fourth. Even through all of your skin issues (which we'll document later...) you have such a sweet temperament. You love snuggles, and LOVE to jiggle that chubby little body around like nobody's business when music comes on. Here are some sweet pictures of you, our baby boy!

Palm Valley Church

How blessed we are with our church family and those we share with in the ministry! We never would've imagined Brent being on staff at church :) and it's been the most amazing journey God has taken us on. We're eternally grateful for Palm Valley Church, the leadership within the church, the friendships we have there, and the fun as well! Our big huge family, Palm Valley is...we feel so blessed to be part of this church family.

Here's a heart-felt shout out to my girls...singing with these ladies brings such joy to my heart! Not only do I have the opportunity to sing praises to our Heavenly Father, but I get to do it with friends I love!

As many of you know, my beautiful sister, Mara and her hubby Zach had a precious little guy, Oliver this last year! Here are pictures leading up to this exciting time!! The shower for Oliver was so much fun....loved celebrating Mara and their soon to be parenthood!

new cousins!

next up will be cousin pictures...sweet baby Mia and precious little Oliver joined our family recently, too! I just need to get all of the pictures in my phone on here to get this post complete...and we'll be almost all caught up! hooray!

Take me out to the ballgame...

Another exciting "first" for us this year has been T-ball. Brent was super excited to get the boys signed up to play and he was their coach this season. The boys team name was the 'grasshoppers' and we've sure enjoyed seeing them play...Pops also has helped coach this season so that's been fun! We have cracked up as the kids wave going around the bases, looking like little bobble-heads in their big helmets! Their team has gotten so much better through the coarse of the season....it's been so fun to watch! however, it's been a 16 game season, which is a lot for little ones (& us!) so we'll be happy when it's all done too and we'll have our saturday morning's back. Here's some t-ball fun.

This picture is from opening day...one funny story. Mase saw this several weeks into the season and said, "Oh I remember this! I was so excited that day until I realized how boring t-ball was!" LOL!

Marli Grace turns TWO!

Marli, you are such a joy. Your sweet spirit and laughter brighten our days. It has been so much fun to watch your little personality develop and see you grow. You're turning more and more into a little girl...definitely not a baby anymore. BAAAAHAAA :( It's going too fast. hehe! But we're enjoying this ride and sure enjoying YOU. You hold our hearts, sweet girl...and we love you very very much! Happy second birthday! Love, Mommy and Daddy

**side note...this year in lieu of having big parties for the kids we got a membership to the zoo...so we're having cupcakes with family this year for the birthday's. However, Marli and Cash had pinkeye on Marli's birthday and Mase was throwing up...so our "party" was more like a quick visit from just the mimi and grandpa and pops. :) but still enjoyed celebrating our big girl!
