One of Mason's new favorite books right now (or mommy's) is "I love you through and through". I've been reading it everyday to Mason making up funny motions, sounds, etc. and he just stares at me and smiles after each page is read...I am going to type it out, because I love it....
I love you through and through....
I love your top side....
I love your bottom side...
I love your inside...
and outside...
I love your happy side...
your sad side...
your silly side...
your mad side...
I love your fingers....
and toes...
your ears and nose...
I love your hair and eyes...
your giggles and cries...
I love you running and walking...
silent and talking...
I love you through and through...
yesterday, today, and tomorrow, too.
I just love that book...so simple yet so sweet. I can't believe how fast time is going. I know you hear everyone say, "It goes so fast"...but you don't really believe how fast it goes, until you're going through it and oh my word...I feel like Mason is getting bigger and doing more and more every single day. I am doing my best to take everything in, and enjoy every single minute to the fullest and not take a thing for granted because this time of our life is such an amazing and special one that won't ever be the same. I'm starting to come the realization that Mason won't be a little baby forever, and that at times breaks my heart to think about...but at the same time, seeing him grow and go through so many exciting things is indescribable and so awesome! I know that each phase gets SO exciting and is so much fun, it's just hard to think about him growing up so fast. I am holding on to him a little longer each night, reading just one more story, or letting him sleep on me now and then (that doesn't happen hardly EVER so if it does...I let it...),giving him just one more goodnight kiss, or singing him just one more song.
Some of my favorite things about Mason right now...
*the way he plays with my face when he's taking a bottle...
*how he smiles at me every time I randomly burst out in song...
*how he talks and gets excited when we go for walks...
*how he tries so hard to get around when he's on his stomach but still pretty much goes nowhere...
*how he wakes up talking/cooing to himself (Brent you missed it this morning for at least 20 minutes he just squealed to himself and talked in delight to himself...i let him for a few extra minutes of snoozing but that's the best alarm clock ever!)
*how he nose dives for you when he wants to be held by you...
*when he really lets go and belly laughs, i love that...
*the way he looks for daddy (this morning he was looking into the bathroom expecting Brent to be there...so cute...he loves his daddy!)
*I love when he tries to clap when his new cookie monster toy starts going off because he's so excited...
*I love when we're on a walk, after he's done being excited about seeing everything outside, he turns completely around and leans back and stares at me the rest of the walk home...that melts my heart.
Dear Jesus,
My words of thankfulness don't seem like enough for the miracle of Mason you've blessed us with. I pray that daily Brent and I do all we can to raise him to serve and love you with all of his heart. Be with him, protect him and hold him in your hands, I know He is yours and I pray that he knows that too someday. We love you.
I love you, Mason Isaac.
Love, Mommy

Hey Jess! Pregnant women should not read mushy stuff :). It makes me think of how Bella was just a short time ago and now she is a little girl...so sad, but I guess I'll be reliving those moments again soon! We love you guys and you are both such amazing parents, Mason is a lucky boy! Anyway...weekends are best for us even though I know it's hard for you, so let us know when would work best! Talk to you soon.
